Subject: This is the one to get ....
This one sounds better than the Oade to my ears ... Doesn't have the low end distortion , easier on your speakers ... And this is coming from a big Oade fan ... I'd almost bet that this is from Schoeps rig also ...

Subject: Bring Me My Running Shoes
Despite Nassau County's finest, the Cold Rain and Snow set the mood for the night and made for an interesting first set. The set list doesnt do the show justice. Strong Island crowds always high energy which always pumped up the band. GDTRFB is a toe tapper. Rock and roll as it should be.

Subject: Masterful Master Aud copy

Subject: Hard to Handle
hey, archive, you are REALLY making it hard to log in and post comments right now. y'all need to fix whatever's delaying our posts, cause this show is so worthy of comment...

Aud tapes like this one are why we are heads. Previous post-er - yes, 2/20 is good too, but Matt Kelly is here on Superstious and the Bottom (which I will allways refer to as runnin shoes) Fun fun times -

listen and feel the reason there is nothing like a grateful dead show...

Subject: Lazy lightning makes a one second appearance.....
Try the first night. They play much better I think.Aw shucks Bobby was so close to busting out Lazy lightnings after supplication. Brents 'Baby' showcases some great blues. Sounbd quality is very good but it doesnt quite have the impact of the first night.Try 2/20/85 aud. It could be the best 85 aud on the archive. The Jam before drums with the xylophones is awesome. reminds me of the jams and experiments of 1986.

Subject: yep, this is a good one
Lots of energy here folks! Other posters nailed it. I was there too and also remember the girl jumping on the stage during Women are Smarter, and Bob's line: "I want to see a bumper sticker that says "Phil loves New York!" to open the second set. Fun show, worth a look. Good sound quality.

Subject: no doubt
I agree..the spring '85 auds are the best. Tons of energy in this recording, and to me that's the most important thing. I'll take an energentic aud over a crispy board anyday. If you feel the same, this is a great download. You can hear crowd sing the "Rain and Sno-ohh-ooooooh!" and the "this ol' waaay-ay-aaaaaaaa!" chorus with the band. Get's me PUMPED everytime I listen. My favorite from the spring is still 3/31 but this one takes second place.

FOR THOSE THAT ARE CURIOUS ABOUT THE APPLAUSE DURING WOMEN "R" SMARTER! A GIRL IN THE FRONT ROW BUSTED HER WAY ON STAGE(PAST SECURITY),RUBBED BOTH HER HANDS ON BRENTS HEAD AND STARTED DANCING IN FRONT OF JERRY BEFORE BEING ESCOURTED "KINDLY" OFF STAGE. THE WOMEN R SMARTER THATS RIGHT,THATS RIGHT, SAID JER BEAR! 19 YEARS LATER. LIKE YESTERDAY. THANK YOU TO THE MUSIC NEVER STOPPED PROJECT! KEEP IT COMMING. I'LL BE THERE! SO MANY GREAT AUDIENCE TAPES CAME FROM THIS TOUR. THANKS TO THE TAPERS! BETTER THAN ALOT OF THE BOARDS!AT LEAST FOR THE TRUE '85 EXPERIENCE! THANKS AGAIN!
